Tough choices

Coast hospitals are near capacity with unvaccinated patients. There are two solutions: One, more people get the safe and effective vaccine, or, two, don’t admit unvaccinated patients and save hospital beds for other illnesses and trauma.

Just listen

For decades I have read of numerous police actions that begin with an attempted traffic stop or a lawful order to comply with an officer’s legitimate command. And then by either running or resisting, the detained person’s situation goes horribly wrong. Sometime in fatal fashion. The police have a job to do. Anyone that chooses to run or resist during a police action is the one escalating a situation. Not the officer. So a good bit of advice would be, if a police gives you a command, follow it.

Move along

We currently have a growing population of derelict, homeless and panhandlers in South Mississippi. Our local government, police and elected officials need to enforce loitering and vacancy rules. It is time to make it less attractive to be here. Those of you who seem to think handing them money is doing a good deed ... really all you are doing is enabling this lifestyle.

Asking questions

All I’m saying is that if I got three polio shots in one year and still got polio, I’d be asking questions.

Staying healthy

If you can educate people and keep them healthy, anything is possible. That’s what is best for our community, state and country. The problem is getting the country, state and community to pull together and achieve this.

No turning back

The White House and Washington, D.C., Democrats will attempt to rebrand President Biden in the weeks and months to come. The problem is the ole moderate has ventured too far left. No turning back now.

The bill

Federal money for medicaid expansion doesn’t pay the entire bill. That pays part of it and the state pays the remainder. What social program would you like to cancel to pick up the state’s part of the bill?

More choices

We need an additional ambulance service on the Coast. AMR can’t handle the load. With our population, we need other ambulance services. Now.

Promises kept

So Biden has not kept his promises? Please be more specific and list the promises that have not been fulfilled. Then list the promises that Trump made. I think you will see that Biden is doing a much better job in this area.
