Gas vs. electric?

On a trip, you can fill your gas tank within 5 minutes or so. How many hours will it take to recharge your battery? What type of fuel will be used in generators for “charging stations” to provide the electricity? I have never seen the answers to these points.

Evolution of technology

The first battery-powered flashlight was invented around 1899. Before that, we used torches and whale oil lamps. Alternative methods of power are a natural evolution of technology. Right now, electric vehicles aren’t cost-effective for most of us, but I appreciate those who can afford them for being the guinea pigs for the rest of us.

Save the seawall

I have to hold back tears watching the seawall in east Biloxi being covered over with the ugly cement boardwalk and it’s rebar. Hopefully future generations will appreciate the seawall for its beauty and will one day spend millions to restore the seawall to its original historical significance.

What about Medicaid expansion?

Mississippi accepts millions for bridges, but refuses money for health care via Medicaid expansion. That’s messed up!

We need mask mandates again

Gov. Tate Reeves needs to get off his butt and protect the people of Mississippi. We’re doing less now then before to protect us from COVID. Casino visitors need to wear masks. Students and staff at schools need to wear masks, and even do remote learning for two or threre weeks. Stop the large events, concerts and parades. People need to get vaccinated and boosted. The governor needs to stand up for us and address the health care shortage as beds are filling up. Ignoring it is what you do best. Do your job.
