More testing
Our towns must open up rapid COVID testing centers now. We’re waiting at an urgent care center now and we’ve been waiting for hours. Use the coliseum to set up drive-thru rapid tests. Come on governor, put on your big boy pants and do something. Local politicians, too. I feel terrible for the one nurse practitioner on duty for over 10 cars waiting to be tested.
Compassion needed
Someone wrote in saying Mississippi should not have medical marijuana. That is one of the most selfish statements I have ever heard. How can you not want to help people with seizures and other medical problems that respond to pot? Where is your compassion?
Hard to believe
I find it hard to believe that our governor, who believes vaccines shouldn’t be mandated by the government and that it should be a decision made between a health care provider and the individual, would now limit the amount of marijuana because he believes it is too much. Be consistent, sir. Let the health care provider make that decision, not the government.
Feeling thankful
I didn’t hear as many fireworks this year. I guess that’s what happens when you have to pay high prices for fuel and food. Another thank you to the Democrats.
To clarify...
Many have the mistaken impression that all their local police officers will receive a $1,000 bonus from the state. The reality is that bonus checks are only going to first responders employed by the state, like Highway Patrol officers.
Too much?
Maybe we should no longer listen to the media or CDC and just go back to normal. Treat COVID just like we treat the flu or any other illness. If you get a little sick take some over the counter medicine. If you have complications, go to a doctor. It looks like this is the new normal and all the hype only makes things worse. It is time stop the political nonsense.
Our politicians
Some of our politicians are willing to do or say anything told to them by the money people who put them in office. They are truly puppets. Trump is always on the hunt for more puppets.
Stop the hate
Checkpoints have been around for years. The purpose is to stop intoxicated drivers, people on drugs and people with no driver’s license ... and it is meant to protect people from them and themselves. If you think it is infringement on your freedom, then stay home. This country has more freedoms than any other in world. Stop the hate and just agree to disagree.
Seeking care
The unvaccinated think the virus is a hoax and they don’t believe in the science. That said, when they become ill they shouldn’t stress the hospital system wanting life saving, science-based antibodies.
