Sound Off for Dec. 26

I-10 traffic nightmare

I was terrified while driving on Interstate 10 yesterday. I have been driving this route since it opened and until yesterday never feared for my life. Driving the speed limit, cars were passing as if I were parked. If this weekend was not a time for high visibility of state troopers and local police, there never will be.

Peace and goodwill

Thanks to the Sound Off editors for only including local community issues on December 24. The opinions presented were friendly, factual and honest. How about we all start out the new year without any spewing? God bless us all and may we go forward using the common sense he gifted us and the goodness Jesus taught us.

Pope kicks butt

The Friday morning coverage of the Pope blasting the Curia was very interesting. But why wait until Christmas? After all the major scandals involving cardinals, bishops and priests, he should be cleaning his house on a regular basis. The Pope is correct: these church officials use their garments as armor.

Be responsible

Business managers should pick up trash around businesses before opening. It says a lot about their managerial skills and how much you care.
