The money

A fact that Republicans don’t want us to know: In the last 50 years, the only two presidents who cut the deficit were Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Every Republican president during this time period left with a higher deficit than when they took office.

Better off?

I have buyer’s remorse. If there is anyone out there who truly believes that our country is in better hands now, please contact me. I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

Not happy

I’m amazed at my grocery bill now. Thanks Democrats for higher everything. What will they come up with now to take the minds off this inflation? Another stimulus check?

The obvious?

Thanks to the “no more tax” Sound Off writer for pointing out the obvious. If we can’t afford to pay teachers a proper salary, we certainly can’t afford to eliminate the state income tax.

Lacking support

Mississippi is the poorest state yet we are considering dropping the state income tax, which will make our state even poorer. Big industry needs smart healthy people to work, so why come here? We don’t fully support our schools and don’t fully support Medicaid.

Where are ants?

Where are the birds? The squirrels? Now, where are the fire ants? Fear not, for they are with us. Those few nights we had recently in the 30s drove them down into the hundreds of miles of tunnels they have stocked with food. Unfortunately, they will return with their nasty bites.

Not pretty

Sound Off is a great barometer of the intelligence level of our population. And it’s not pretty.

Trump’s fault?

So the New England states now have the greatest rise in COVID cases due to the unvaccinated. Gee, how many Trump supporters live in the New England area. Might that be zero? What a bunch of supercilious hypocrites. Surely the liberal element is blaming Trump anyway.

The view

Unfortunately people don’t own views over other people’s property. I buy and sell real estate. When someone tells a property has a view but it’s over someone else’s private property, I don’t give it any value. Because one day it could be gone unless there is a view easement between the two property owners.
