Stop comparing COVID to HIV

People need to stop comparing an airborne disease to one that is spread through blood fluids. An HIV-positive person can’t infect a facility unless blood products are exchanged. A COVID patient, though, can infect the entire facility just by walking through it, or standing next to a person. Yes, an employer can force you to be tested for an infectious disease. In 1988, I had to take an HIV test to work in a medical lab. All the people screaming about COVID privacy are the very ones who thought everybody’s HIV status should be published. I just saw a case were legal charges were being brought against someone who infected two people with HIV. Maybe we can start suing the unvaccinated when they infect others. You are sounding ridiculous.

No homes on the beach

Am I the only one who is upset with Biloxi allowing homes to be built on the south side of U.S. 90? We are one of the few areas of the Gulf Coast where you can actually enjoy the beautiful Gulf view while driving. If they start, it’s just a matter of time before we will look like the Alabama and Florida coasts where water views are few and far between.

Party loyalty

To the person who thinks Cong. Steven Palazzo was elected to serve everyone, not just the Republican Party: I am sorry but you are wrong. The only loyalty that most politicians have is to themselves. Just look at the despicable mess in D.C. and Jackson.

Chris Wallace

After 18 years of doing the hard work as an honest journalist, Chris Wallace is leaving Fox News for CNN. Character, integrity, and rule of law still matter to him. Congratulations to him for keeping his values.

College athletes should get praise

College athletes receive athletic scholarships, just like academic scholarships. Athletes have to train, play games and keep up their grades. Students should be commended for their efforts.
