We need stronger piers

The piers are proven to be built inferior for the storms along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Please quit rebuilding, wasting tax dollars until someone can wake up and build rock jetties or piers out of concrete.

Abortion is wrong

I was taken aback when I read yesterday’s Sound Off where someone actually quoted the Bible to defend abortion. Unbelievable.

Birds will be here

Before some conspiracy gets started, its winter folks. In the last few weeks we had two or three nights down in the 30’s. The finches and other small birds that swarm to the feeders in warm weather have moved to warmer areas. Our mockingbirds and others that hang around don’t frequent the feeders. Attach that “no birds” Sound Off to your fridge and check it on April 1. We walk in the National Park early every morning see lots of squirrels and winter birds.

Not pro-life

There is no pro-life if you can’t tackle the hard job of gun control and the disgrace of school killings in the U.S. Children here on Earth that are nurtured and loved killed by guns used by classmates is what needs to be changed. Punish the parents and friends that allowed the gun to be used. They are the adults that facilitated the crime.

Something stinks

It’s interesting how employers lay people off, fire people, outsource work, exploit contractors and immigrants, cut benefits and wages, ship work overseas, automate, side-step labor and environmental laws, discriminate, lie, cheat, steal and jack up job requirements all for the sake of raising profits. And then they turn around and claim they can’t find qualified help. Something stinks in this country and I think it has a lot to do with corruption, democratic backsliding and a push toward tyranny.

Unvaccinated hospital workers

If I am a patient in the hospital, why would I want an unvaccinated health care worker attending to me? Haven’t enough people died from COVID to demonstrate that this disease is a real threat?
