You use it, you pay
Some who are going to scream about a toll to finance a new, and better, Popp’s Ferry Causeway bridge also scream about the infrastructure bill being ‘socialistic’. Don’t they realize that toll fees are the polar-opposite of Socialism? You use it, you pay.
MS execution
Gov. Tate Reeves and Attorney General Lynn Fitch never cease to amaze me. They are against abortion, saying that it is killing a human being. Yet they will kill a human by injecting lethal chemicals into their veins.
The whole story about fracking
To say fracking is bad for the environment, one should take into context the entire procedure. There are instances where some harm is caused, but they are very rare. As drilling companies used this method more, these occurrences became less and less. Natural gas is clean burning and produces half the CO2 of coal with current technology. To completely stop producing it would be catastrophic for the poor and the middle class. If one is really concerned about the environment you would have to completely stop mining for lithium, the primary component of our long lasting batteries
Popp’s Ferry Bridge
I sincerely hope our elected Biloxi officials would quickly see a bridge toll as an economic knife through our city. The residents north of the bridge would be inclined to shop in D’Iberville, while the residents south would radiate toward Gulfport. Also churches and schools have locations north of the bridge, and the city should not allow residents to have to pay to worship and attend school functions.
Religious exemptions
I would like someone who is claiming exemption for religious reasons to explain what in the Bible or elsewhere would justify the exemption?
What about our port?
Just read where the Port of Mobile should get busier. In May, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers kicked off a three year, $500 million project to widen and deepen its channel. Why is our port’s channel not getting attention?
