Sound Off for Nov. 10
Happy too soon
After years of complaints, the city of Gulfport finally repaired some potholes that have been keeping tire-alignment shops in business for years. Within a week, sewer repairs involve a detour onto my street, over the yet-uncured pothole repairs, by dump trucks and heavy equipment. Is it too late to withdraw my “thank you” Sound Off?
Thank you, Biden
Thank you, President Joe Biden. For four years, Trump and the Republicans talked about “infrastructure week” to improve our roads, bridges, broadband in rural areas and more. It was all talk and no action. Biden was able to get a bipartisan bill passed within a year. We have a true patriotic leader now.
What about Palazzo?
Can anyone provide an update on the ethics violations inquiry on Rep. Steven Palazzo? I got his email railing on Biden increasing IRS investigators and wondered the status of his own backyard.
Look at the facts
To “the educated one,” you think Biden is doing the right thing concerning the oil? Why has gas gone up consistently in the short time he has been our president? Sometime it’s best to look at the facts.
Concert deaths
Police and security officials should have canceled the Travis Scott concert as soon as unruly crowds stormed entrance and tore down fences. What did officials think would happen with out-of-control mob.
Sharks in the Gulf
Scientists are studying the suspicious behavior of three sharks lurking together in the Gulf. Why do my fingers keep snapping in rhythm to the opening song of “West Side Story”?
Kudos to KFC
Kudos to the KFC on Cowan Road for providing a trash can at their drive through. They even posted instructions. Also, the staff is very professional.
Best quote
Best quote I’ve heard in a while: “You can’t leave those who created the problem in charge of the solution.”
Trash everywhere
The city of Gulfport should monitor whoever owns and manages the stores at the Cowan Road and Pass Road intersection because trash is everywhere, especially near Wingstop.
