Wrong COVID emphasis

All this emphasis on ending the mask mandate should be focused on ending the pandemic.

Get vaccinated, Meggan

Good for you, Megan. I don’t agree with your vaccination stand but you were one of the best at WLOX and I haven’t watched since you left except for Wesley and the weather. Well, I will be watching WXXV. I hope you get vaccinated so you can stay healthy as well as your family. Glad you are back.

Polio would be like cancer

Unvaccinated people are dying from COVID five times more than vaccinated people. So, unvaccinated people want to take a chance of dying to protect their freedom? If everyone felt that way during the polio pandemic, polio would be like cancer is today. Thank you to those of you who chose to get vaccinated to protect those loved ones around you. It’s the unselfish thing to do. If most of us get vaccinated, COVID would be gone forever. Because many people refuse to get vaccinated, COVID variants will always be around. Having to wear masks will become a permanent way of life all because some people are irrationally stubborn and won’t get vaccinated.

Don’t listen to Biden

In 2020, too many people listened to President Joe Biden and voted for him. It’s the reason we have all the problems that he is creating. I am in my 80s and feel sorry for the younger generation and those to come.

East Biloxi roads

Ward 1 and Ward 2 City Council members in Biloxi should have been and should be watching out for their citizens who elected them. Has anyone seen them in your neighborhood since being re-elected?

Keystone pipeline

I consider myself educated and informed. Biden stopped the Keystone pipeline because it constantly was having issues and it was carrying Canadian oil that was not for U.S. consumption. As it has been for many years, the U.S. buys oil and sells what we produce. That is what we educated people know.

Raise teacher pay

Since 1992, the amount of funding spent per pupil in our state grew by 54%. Teacher pay, however, rose a mere 2%. We want reform so that more of the money goes into the classroom, not on the kind of fat cat administration salaries that we have seen.

Ocean Springs roads

What a great job the road crews did on repaving U.S. 90 in Ocean Springs. It was done efficiently and with an absolute minimum of traffic disruption. That’s how you do it.
