Presidential behavior
My favorite President Biden accomplishment is his modeling the behavior of a decent human being. For four years, I listened to a president who yelled down at the press corps, called his political opponents names while plotting revenge, acted as though he did not like much less love his wife and young son, and tried to overthrow the results of an election that was not in his favor. I was ready for a president who exhibited the traits of a Christian leader, husband and father. I have one now.
Mental disorder?
Dr. Michael Savage has always been right. Liberalism is a mental disorder. You want proof? Check out the people in Sound Off still blaming Trump for all that is bad and approving of Biden’s performance. Some liberals simply cannot be helped until they hit rock bottom. Biden seldom knows what day it is, but deserved to be president because his personality was better than Trump’s? A conservative will never vote based on personality. A liberal will never vote based on knowledge, leadership skills, experience, character, accountability or having a spinal column.
Life with COVID
Now is the time for us to say we are going to live with COVID-19. Most Americans have had enough time and information to know what they need to do. They can make their decisions as individuals on what and how they choose to manage regarding COVID. In spite of almost two years of media and political propaganda, most people now can and have made their own decisions on a path forward. As we have always done, we will live our lives, be stronger, better and overcome.
Fact checker?
So President Biden is not responsible for inflation, gas prices and food shortages? Sound Off needs a fact checker.
Real motives?
Why worry about our government paying to take care of children, regardless of who is at fault. Taxes go to lot of things that I don’t agree with or support. But why attack child care? You don’t want abortions or planned parenthood, but you complain about the results. Be honest about your real motives.
Term limits?
People usually call for term limits when their person did not get elected. The reality is we have the ultimate term limit. Every elected official has a specific term and must be re-elected to remain in office. If the voters want to limit the incumbent’s time in office to 1 term or 2 terms, they can elect someone else.
Oil issues
Biden canceled leases for drilling on all U.S. territories. Biden canceled the XL Keystone pipeline. Yes, Biden destroyed our energy independence. These are the facts, period. Educate yourself.
Paying taxes
Mississippi is a poor state. We have to take welfare from the federal government because we can’t pay our own bills. The problem is that working people and business leaders want to keep taxes low. When taxes are too low, there is not enough money to run the state. We can fix this by raising taxes on the rich. Currently the rich do not pay their fair share of taxes. They don’t tell us this because they do not want to pay their fair share of taxes. he rest of us don’t want to pay our taxes either, but we don’t have the power to make that happen. Maybe it’s time to vote Democratic because the Republicans have not done a good job of running our state. Let’s get Mississippi off of the welfare list.
The science
Operation Warp Speed, to develop a vaccine, was started in May 2020 by a Republican president. Remember Vice President Harris saying there was no way she would take a vaccine developed by Trump? Now Democrats are all behind the vaccine. Politicians make it political. People who don’t want the vaccine want all the facts before they decide, not political spewing of “follow the science” when the science changes on a weekly basis.
