Too expensive

We just saw where Disney On Ice will be at the Coast Coliseum. We thought it would be nice to take our two grandsons. Then we looked up the price of a ticket: $49. That’s $200 and it is a kids show. It is out of our price range.

Not fair

Thousands are crossing the border daily and it seems to be a non-issue for the news media, including the Sun Herald. If the former president was in office there’s no doubt it would make headline news.

Endorsing unions

I read that there is a severe nursing shortage in Mississippi hospitals. Part of the problem is that Mississippi ranks last in nurses’ pay. Until Mississippi people wake up and realize that our anti-union stand is killing our state, things will continue to get worse. Unions keep higher pay and better working conditions a priority. Mississippi business leaders want to keep wages low so that they can make a better profit at the workers’ expense. They tell us that unions are bad for workers when the opposite is true.

Step it up

Governor Reeves, get off the pot and give us our pot.

Stop it

I thought robocalls were suppose to end. Evidently not. I just received one in Spanish. Stop with them. What a nuisance.

What gives?

You gotta be kidding me? The tomahawk chop, which has been a traditional “praise” for the Atlanta Braves, is racist? I just don’t buy it. We are the United States of the offended.

Clean energy

Yes, we are dependent on foreign oil. Why? Because we do not have the resources to satisfy our excessive needs. We are digging into the oceans and destroying our food sources just to keep up. That’s why clean energy is important. If you want to be energy independent, we have to give up our dependency on oil.

Not adding up

According to the Energy Information Administration, a branch of the DOE, in 2019 America produced on average 12.23 million barrels of oil per day, while America consumed 20 million barrels per day. Please explain how you can have energy independence when you are consuming more than you are producing?

President’s actions

Democrats say it isn’t the president’s policy that is resulting in higher prices at the pump. But one of his first acts after taking office was to cancel the oil pipeline funding that would of carried oil from Canada to refineries in Texas. So, yes, it just may be this president bringing higher prices at the pump .
