A moral issue?
How did deciding to not get vaccinated become a morality issue? Actually, it’s more of an individual choice, which is opposite of morals, collective beliefs that benefit others.
Energy independence
This is in response to “Research the Facts.” The U.S. did become “energy independent” during the Trump Administration. Yes, we still bought oil from other countries because of prior contracts. The Biden Administration has instituted policies that has changed our dependence on foreign oil.
Expert opinion
If you pay attention to the news, everyone has a point of view and an “expert” to back them up. If you go to court, you find experts on both sides of the case. In the 15th century, the leading thinkers expounded theory after theory that the Earth was the center of the universe and flat. The Egyptians had determined the Earth was round before Christ was born. There are experts abound but the facts remain the same. At any point, the planet could shake us off like flea. Man is not the center of the universe. He is one small piece of God’s creation. He will survive by what he learns and how he applies it.
One way streets
The City of Bay St. Louis really needs to enforce the law of traffic abiding by one way signs. More people are going the wrong way on State Street than going the right way. Something bad is going to happen.
Vaccine is not political
The COVID shot is not political. Development was pushed by a Republican president. The former president, the current president and our governor have all had the shot. Its about a mandate for a shot which has no trial to determine the long-term effects. The trials were canceled. When has that happened before?
Fuzzy math
The person saying we should listen to President Joe Biden on how we serve debt on trillions of infrastructure dollars must be using fuzzy math skills. Problem is no one ever seems to say what fair share is when taxing the so-called rich. I am pretty sure $400,000 a year is not rich. A flat tax to me would be fair. Just pick the percent and stick to it. Biden’s own Treasury Secretary said printing more money, devaluing the dollar by the way, is the path forward.
Meggan Gray’s choice
Meggan Gray sought a religious exemption for the vaccine. We should respect her choice, period. It is not our prerogative to question this.
Help for mothers
The series “Maid” highlights the difficulties single moms have getting help for child care, including all of the paperwork and legal restrictions just to get food stamps and to rent an apartment. What would Jesus do?
