Vaccine labels
Do not label those who do not want to be vaccinated as Republicans. That is just a radical talking point. As a Republican family, we are vaccinated. I can understand why some do not want it, and I do not agree, but respect their various objections. People should consult with their doctor instead politicians or internet trolls to make that decision.
WXXV staff
Glad to see how smart WXXV-TV is to have two former WLOX staff members, Meggan Gray and Rob Knight. All the staff at WXXV is wonderful and the more I watch the channel the more I like it. Keep up the good work! And thank you Meggan for sticking to your morals.
Unvaccinated are dying
The reason the vaccinated push the vaccine is because the unvaccinated have and are dying at an alarming rate. Not only does that cause heartache for those left behind, but it is a burden on the health care system. If you don’t want to be vaccinated, fine. Just don’t run for treatment you could have avoided by getting a shot.
Dave Elliot
Dave needs to retire and leave Mississippi. He constantly makes snide remarks about this state and the tag issue is just another example.
Religious exemption
So Meggan Gray posted on Facebook that she sought a religious exemption, but it was denied. I don’t know her religious beliefs, but modern-day religions are not opposed to vaccines. I don’t understand how people try to use that as an excuse in the 21st century.
Research the facts
It’s fine to criticize President Joe Biden if you base the criticism on facts. Biden did not “stop American energy independence.” The United States today, just as it did during the Trump administration, purchases oil from foreign countries. If you want to be taken seriously, base your comments on facts.
Mississippi marshes
Anita Lee has done a remarkable service to Coastal Mississippians. For years, I was privileged to teach environmental science, earth science and biology. Oh, how I wish I would have had access to this outstanding article as a resource. I would have converted it to a syllabus and taught this wonderful document for at least one entire semester.
Hire more nurses
If there is a huge nursing shortage, why not hire temporary retired nurses on a part-time basis? I have been trying to get hired at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport. No, I don’t want to work in the ER, OR or ICU, but I can work in an office or clinic. Call me.
Make time
Biden, you say you haven’t had time to go to the border. Instead of going to Delaware and other vacation spots, get on the fossil fuel burning jet, better known as Air Force One, and take a few hours out of your busy schedule and go see what kind of mess you have created at the border.
