The congressman

You don’t understand, U.S. Rep. Steven Palazzo is a suit, or a soldier who does what he’s told by the party. He doesn’t care what you think or the concerns you have. Sort of like a robot.

Corporate owned?

Republican politicians have become a wholly owned subsidiary of Donald Trump Enterprises.

Please share

If anyone knows of who may be offering free flu vaccines to those that have no health insurance and cannot afford to pay, please share in Sound Off.

Looking good

Good job, city of Biloxi. The Popp’s Ferry roadway looks much better this afternoon after the mowers showed up. Those of us who live nearby are very appreciative. Thanks.

Thank you

Kudos to the Harrison County Utility Authority (HCUA) and Waste Management. My garbage can had a cracked lid. I called them one afternoon and they came out the very next morning and replaced the lid. In Biloxi, they are always efficient with garbage/trash pick-up.

Keep borrowing?

Based on the figures stated in Wednesday’s paper, if the current inflation rate continues, inflation will approach 25 percent by the end of Biden’s first term. For those who refuse to blame Biden and the Democrats for this, please tell me how raising the debt limit to borrow trillions, and now looking to repeat this irresponsible borrowing to obtain even more trillions, is helping senior Americans. You just can’t keep borrowing because you want to spend money that you do not have and expect a rosy future.

Money tree

Biloxi schools just paid $1,000 to each faculty and staff member who is vaccinated. That is in excess of $700,000 and now they are going to pay $100 to each student who is vaccinated. I am amazed that our tax money is being used in this way and am wondering if there isn’t a better way to spend school money such as teacher salaries or resources for the classrooms. We should surely never hear a Biloxi teacher say he or she has had to spend money out of his/her own pocket for classroom supplies. There is obviously a money tree in the Biloxi School district.

Quality of life

Unless you live in a guarded, gated community, you may have noticed that absolutely everything is costing more. Some things are now unavailable or affordably. Is this want you wanted?

Mother Nature

Mother Nature has really blessed us with an abundance of black-eyed susans along the roads. Well worth a road trip.
