Thank you Sun Herald for printing a calm and illuminating opinion article written by C. Gerald Richardson. Much better than the fear mongering about critical race theory being espoused by conservative pundits. The truth is sometimes not pretty, but must be sought in order to move forward. To quote Frederick Nietzsche: ”Sometimes people don’t want to hear the truth because they don’t want their illusions destroyed.”

Great job

Kudos to the Biloxi and Ocean Springs police departments for the escort of Vietnam veteran Chuck Cadena to the national cemetery. They were so respectful and efficient. God bless the police.

Do all you Biden voters like your country now? Just wondering.

Just sad

So, parents who are involved with their children’s education are now domestic terrorists because they won’t let the Democrats use our education system for their own propaganda machine? That’s just sad.

For the record

Why do speakers talk of “mixing and matching“ vaccines? Matching vaccines is settled science. We know what the immune response is to matched vaccines. It’s what we’ve been doing. The data is not yet in on mixing vaccines.

No sense

It makes absolutely no sense why someone would risk loss of income and medical insurance just to not take the vaccine.

Not Jonestown

Remember when your health information was protected through HIPAA regulations? Now every tin pot dictator wants to know your vaccination status and penalties ensue for refusal. Many people do not want the vaccine and question the president’s authority to require it. The U.S. Supreme Court must take up the [resident’s mandate. If anything, mandates should be the purview of Congress. Joe Biden isn’t Jim Jones and this isn’t Jonestown.

Gas prices

Back in May I told my wife that we will be paying $3 a gallon by Christmas. Boy, was I wrong and my wife said I told you so. Now I say by Christmas gas will be $3.25 a gallon. Please don’t make me a liar, Uncle Joe. I can’t take my wife saying I told you so.

A great country

This is to all spewing hate toward America and all it was founded on. Do you remember past world leaders promising to destroy us from within? Do not get pulled into the toxic rhetoric. Be a proud American, make it better, and honor all our ancestors that worked hard to develop this great, free country.
