Diversions

Louisiana officials say their river diversion project will not affect the Mississippi Sound. Then if it happens, oh sorry, we didn’t know it would rain that much last month or some other reason. If Mississippi shrimpers/fishermen lose income because of it, Louisiana should compensate them.

Dangerous

The road work on the Tchoutacabouffa River bridge is a disaster waiting to happen. The traffic warning signs are not placed far enough away from the work site to warn drivers. Traffic, especially 18-wheelers, are coming into the work site at 70-plus mph is creating extremely dangerous situations

Big lie

I question the Great Resignation. It sounds like another big lie.

Trash first

I noticed the state highway department was picking up the trash along the sides of the road before they mowed the grass. Too bad Jackson County doesn’t do the same thing when they mow the sides of the county roads. Seaman Road looks so bad on the sides of the road with mowed-up trash.

Not for me

Mobile ID? Not for me. Some will never learn about placing all eggs in the same basket, but to put all protected privacy info into a phone with permissions to dispense it is just as careless. Those wanting to deploy this tech are either misunderstanding the capabilities or the risk or both.

Fines

In response to the state auditor demanding payment for past due fines, what about the Walkers? Are they paying their fines?
