Apples and oranges
Kneeling is not a sign of disrespect. We do it to pray and some cultures do it to show respect. Flying a Confederate battle flag of a nation that waged war against our country is not comparable. How does this show love for your country? It doesn’t, it shows disrespect.
Vetting
If you think that everyone who is crossing into our country illegally is being vetted, then you need to do a little more research. They are given a document informing them of date to appear before a judge to plead their case for asylum. How many actually appear? About 15%.
Getting through
‘Not Crossing’ would be funny if it weren’t such a serious lie. As someone with family who work on the border, the immigrants are getting through. Because of the shear numbers, and the fact that not all those wanting to cross are pure of heart, it is a dangerous situation for our Border Patrol.
The unvaccinated
To all those who think whether or not to vaccinate is none of my (as vaccinated) business or your right to choose, I say this. It has to be my business. You are sucking up most of the health care resources and ICU beds when you catch COVID, leaving me with the real possibility of not getting adequate treatment for whatever I may have.
Separate
Most opposition to Roe v. Wade is based on religion. Therefore, on the basis of the USA’s separation of church and state, women who do not share those beliefs should have a right to abortion. Similarly, unlike in 20th Century China, women who do not want one should not be required to have one.
Body mandates
I find it amazing that the GOP doesn’t feel it is their job to mandate masks or shots because this should be left up to the individual. They don’t, however, have a problem passing laws to tell a woman what she can or can’t do with her own body.
