Cruisin’ cure
Wow! Thank you, Cruisers, for sharing your gorgeous cars, your cool stories, your friendly waves. I haven’t smiled so much or felt so young in quite a while! This week has been a colorful cure for the long pandemic blues.
Ground rules
Mayors of South MS need to set rules for the cruisers, 15 mph in the left lane is wrong! Put these vacationing folks in the right lane especially the right lane during business hours.
Commute time
All Cruisin’ The Coast activities should begin and end before or after the locals commute to and from work. All Cruisers might want to use the evening commute time to be parked at their hotel/motel readying for evening activities which hopefully will include a meal at our local restaurants.
Bike racks
My wife and I purchased bikes during the pandemic. We knew that there are few bicycle lanes but finding a bicycle rack in downtown areas is almost non-existent. If our area is interested in the health of its residents, it would be great if downtowns made it easier to secure bikes.
Disregard
At next election time, we need to remember our Coast leaders’ TV commercial with them saying “we are in a dangerous pandemic,” yet they promoted Cruisin’ The Coast because of tourism dollars. They clearly disregarded the health of the citizens.
Bizarre
I find it appalling that Tate Reeves is begging President Biden for relief from Hurricane Ida after he insults the Biden on national television, what a hypocrite. You can’t have it both ways, governor.
Marijuana
I’ve noticed several Sound Offs that refer to the Legislature approving smoking marijuana in Mississippi. Medical marijuana and street marijuana are two separate uses of the drug. Street marijuana is still a no-go. We need medical marijuana for the people who are really in pain.
Consideration
Why is it so important for the democrats to rush through this huge $3.5 trillion spending bill knowing that no one has read the details? The bigger the purchase I make, the more carefully I consider it. But then, I’m spending my money.
