Exceptional

If you missed the drone show and fireworks Friday night at Jones Park, you missed one of the best fireworks displays the Coast has offered. It lasted far longer than the other fireworks shows and the drones were a bonus. Thank you!

Really?

Isn’t this Cruisin’ The Coast week? Why do the jeeps take over the Long Beach Harbor? They have their own week!

Clutter?

Here we go again! Can we have one year without these cars running up and down the roads? Every year all we hear is how Cruisin’ brings in so much money. All I see it doing is cluttering the highway so we can’t get to work, can’t get lunch, can’t pick our kids up from school. and get home.

Wash out

I am not an engineer, but it seems to me that the cause of the Highway 26 washout was insufficient sized drainage pipe under the road bed. It wouldn’t surprise me when the highway is rebuilt that a much larger pipe and or pipes are installed.

Stop signs

As an avid cyclist, I think it’s time again to remind all the mommies and daddies out there, whose kids have bought them shiny new bicycles, that stop signs apply to them, too. And subsequent car horns.

My business

To the Sound Off writer who said “If you are vaccinated, you are protected. Just mind your own business.” The unvaccinated are filling our hospitals, forcing health care workers to quit, and exposing us (the vaccinated) to breakthrough infections. So it very much is our business.

Questions

Will the Sun Herald, particularly Sound Off, not print anything that questions the vaccines, climate change or publish the number of illegal migrants crossing our border? Mississippi is a red state but your publication seems to an extension of the DNC.

‘70s

Our mayor came from the business world and was going to bring us into the digital world. Why do I still have to write a check and mail my water bill or pay online with a $5 charge. It sure seems like we’re still in the ’70s!
