Act of love

This morning it took me a while to clear my teary eyes after reading about the loving and unselfish act of the young lady who gave up her Homecoming queen crown to her friend! A beautiful act of love.

Generosity

Our heartfelt thanks to the person(s) who paid for our breakfast at the Waffle House on Saturday. That was very generous. Be assured that we paid it forward by giving the staff the cost of the meal. Your generosity made more than just two people happy.

Cruisin’ and hospitals

Our hospitals are full and people in our community are dying from COVID, yet our community leaders think that it’s OK to have Cruisin’ The Coast? You all should be accountable for all that get sick and die. You’re bringing thousands of people to our area with only a 35% vaccination rate.

Where are workers?

How is it that our area has a 6% unemployment rate, but everywhere I go I’m asked to “be patient” because they’re understaffed? I’m tired of it.

Health decisions

In reference to Gov. Reeves being at fault for Mississippi being the “most unhealthy state in the union,” since when is the governor responsible for the health decisions of the people living in the state? That’s your fault, not his!

Why relocate?

I think it would make more sense to elect a governor and politicians with common sense that care enough to do the right thing for us and our state.

Unvaccinated = unemployed

Some people say they’ll quit work if required to get vaccinated. Good. I know businesses who announce proudly that 100% of staff is vaccinated, and business has increased. Perhaps all the unvaccinated could find an employer where none of the workers are vaccinated. Let’s see how that works out.
