Sound Off for Sept. 22, 2021
Defendable data
It is stunningly embarrassing what just happened to Milton Segarra. His leadership has been defendable by every single data point one can find on Coastal MS since he started and is proven by almost every business leader and (true) elected official other than the Harrison County BOS.
Cruisin’ protocols?
I agree with “At risk.” Local leaders are afraid of offending the governor and are willing to promote super spreader events like Cruising the Coast. Sun Herald, please publish the COVID-19 safety protocols for Cruisin’.
Reeves on CNN
I love how the Sun Herald highlights the governor’s comments on weekend talk shows that no one watches anymore and what all the liberal media has to say about his comments. But they fail to mention that Mississippi is the most unhealthy state in the nation.
Embarrassed
Our governor’s appearance on CNN was a national disaster. He made a name for himself across all media by showing his misleading and self-serving approach to protecting his citizens against the virus. The hard working people of Mississippi are not stupid and he must be held accountable.
News
Thoughts from yesterday: If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, did it make a sound? Liberal press today: If an event happens and no one reports it, it did not happen. Knowledge is power.
Beaches
I was looking for current news on the closure of Harrison County beaches after Hurricane Ida. The latest information is from early September. Where can we get current information?
Editor’s note: All beaches in the country reopened by Sept. 8.
Power outage
Kudos to Mississippi Power and its unbelievable crew for reconnecting our electricity after a tree fell on our power lines after all the rain and winds. They are true heroes working in a wet and rainy situation.
