Three cheers
Through rain, etc., the Sun Herald makes its deliveries. Those of us old timers who still like the feel of paper in our hands and newsprint on our fingers really appreciated the Sun Herald delivery folks on Wednesday. Despite torrential rains from Hurricane Nicholas, they came through!
To ‘Unfair’
I agree that you can drive around and identify the streets of current and former mayors, council persons and their friends. But I do not agree that the horrible streets and debris are only in what you termed poor areas. This is found in all the remaining neighborhoods. Where is the pride in our city.
Teacher pay
As the senate committee looks at teacher pay, let’s make sure the pay increase goes to the teachers and not the bloated non-teaching bureaucracy!
Way to go
Ocean Springs announced MDOT is “set to begin milling, paving, and repairing” Highway 90 from the Biloxi/Ocean Springs Bridge to Martin Luther King/Vermont Avenue. The work, which begins this Sunday includes alternating lane closures and will last 3 to 4 weeks, just in time for Cruisin’.
Confused
All this time and energy spent trying to teach kids not to label or bully people and respect for others. Yet take a look at any form of media, government party or agency and all you see are labels for people, people being bullied or cancelled, and zero respect for anyone.
Freedom
I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands by cutting the seat belts out of my vehicles and tossing the child safety seat. Wait, is there a law against that?
