Sound Off for Sept. 3, 2021
Thank you
Thanks to all the meteorologists and reporters from WLOX for keeping us so well informed during Hurricane Ida. Your tireless efforts are much appreciated!
Eternal life
Gov. Reeves is right when he said that all stop signs and other traffic control impediments in Mississippi must be removed because Mississippi Christians can best make their own decisions about how to drive since they’ll live forever in uh… uh, wait, I think he was talking about COVID-19.
What about locals?
I understand Louisiana residents are in need of supplies and gas. I get it. But think about the trickle-down effect: employees can’t get gas to get to work; grocery stores are not stocked. Our governor needs to get a plan to take care of Mississippi residents so we can then help Louisiana!
Beach
If beach maintenance would let storm debris and marsh grass along shore alone, the beach would recover better. The marsh grass clumps hold the sand and will be covered by the sand in a month. At least try it in front of Naval home area.
Analogy
To non-vaxxers: Please look at the pandemic situation this way... your house is on fire. Someone called the fire department to put out the fire, but you decided to sit on the hose so that the water won’t come out.
Jail treatment
Why is it when someone goes to hospital with COVID symptoms and test positive for it they give them IV meds to help them. But Harrison County jail is full of inmates with COVID, and all they’re doing is checking their temperature when they can. I am very upset about this.
