To ‘The real issue’

It is very sad and disturbing to see all the trash left on our beaches in Harrison County. Why do our visitors do this? And why are so many parents so irresponsible that they leave full, dirty diapers on the boardwalk benches? I hope they are more responsible in caring for the children.

Better bills

I am absolutely supportive of medical marijuana. However, I voted against both questions on the ballot. The bills were poorly written and did not appear to have any oversight. It should be simple to write a bill that offers marijuana for those in need, grown, administered and taxed in Mississippi.

Nonpartisan?

Is it coincidental that the “nonpartisan elected” Mississippi Supreme Court Blocked Initiative 65 that six of the nine justices were selected by Republican governors? What am I missing? Maybe someone appointed to remaining terms should not be a candidate for that position.

Do you vote?

Bobby Harrison‘s detailed analysis of Mississippians’ approval of medical marijuana left out an important detail. Some majority of voters approved medical marijuana, but a huge percentage of Mississippians doesn’t even vote.

Where’s the delta

I am not vaccinated. I know a lot of people that are not vaccinated. Yet, I have seen no sign of the new strain of virus at all. I’m always curious and question if anybody else knows anybody with it and the answer is always the same.

Risk analysis

Of the American people who died of COVID in June, 99.2% were unvaccinated. I wonder if those people had the chance to make the choice again, would they still think the risks of the vaccine far outweighed the benefits of protecting themselves and their loved ones.

Sea level and taxes

I appreciate those who take time to write to the Sun Herald. I want to bring to the attention of Mr. Curtis that sea levels have been measured for over 400 years, and there is a very minute change in that time. Mr. Boggs, I agree everyone should pay their taxes but you should include Al Sharpton.
