MIA
Our councilman for Ward 2 was very accessible when campaigning. Newly elected, he hasn’t been heard from. Maybe I should ask Westlake residents where he is.
Not just speed
If you get hit by a vehicle doing 45 mph, I can almost guarantee you will be killed just as easily as if you were hit by one doing 60. Speed is not the only factor in pedestrian deaths. Elevated crosswalks are an excellent answer and would be a great use of some of the BP monies or COVID funds.
Enough is enough
I have respect for our police but it’s time to call out Gulfport. In four days there have been just as many shootings, two occurring in one day. It’s time to be more proactive, and start seeing patrol cars actually patrolling in our neighborhoods and streets.
Hooray, not
We are at the top of the list! Not so fast... we are at the top of the list for least vaccinated state. So when your mother, father, sibling, co-worker or neighbor become critically ill or dies, and you didn’t get vaccinated, look in the mirror as a guilty contributor.
Desperate times
Dr. Fauci has made the recommendation for vaccinated people to wear a mask when they are in Mississippi because so few people are vaccinated. When a sickness hits the entire world, it’s time to stop it the only way we know how.
Lesson no. 1
Being condescending and self righteous about your opinion is a great way to convince people that you are a real dipstick.
The real issue
What difference does it make if climate change is occurring naturally or with help from us? We are hoarders and disrespectful guests! I pick up trash weekly on my street. We are wasteful and uncaring to the consequences of our behavior. So, stop making excuses and do your part.
