Sound Off for Sept. 28, 2020
Is this right?
OK, let me get this straight. There is a dangerous pandemic and somebody decided that it was a good idea to still have Cruisin’ without all of the events. Of course it is nice seeing all the beautiful cars but the events are what draw the people too. No events, no people. That’s one way to keep social distancing.
Which is it?
Either the Atlanta Falcons are taking a knee and protesting the fourth quarter, or that entire team is on the take betting against themselves.
New low?
Soon you will see a brand new low from the Democratic Party. It’s called mom shaming. They plan to attack Judge Barrett because she has seven children, two which are adopted from Haiti. Shameful.
Fake news?
The Sunday hit piece in the New York Times claims that President Trump has paid only $750 in income taxes. Do they actually think people are going to believe that? I’ll use Joe Bidens line: “Come on man.“
Catholic beliefs?
What objections do people have with Catholic beliefs since, at their core, they encompass mercy, compassion, justice and forgiveness? What is wrong with the concept of loving God and neighbor? Wouldn’t it be better if we forgave each other when we fail to be as compassionate as we ought? Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we all treated each other with forgiveness, mercy and compassion? It may often be a challenge, but perhaps it’s worth trying.
The debate
Somebody better hurry and give Joe Biden the questions to the debate or he will suddenly drop out, with the lame excuse that as Nancy Pelosi says, ”Trump lies so what is the point?”
The Congressman
Why does WLOX-TV bother having U.S. Rep. Steven Palazzo on the news for an interview and his opinions when he can’t even show up for votes in Congress?
