Sound Off for Sept. 3, 2020

COVID testing

Think you’ve been exposed to COVID and want to get tested? So you go to an urgent care center where they are happy to perform the test. They will tell you that most insurances will waive any copay. But you need to ask if they accept payment on your insurance, otherwise you can be looking at a $218 bill, where other sites are free or close to it. Bills from both the clinic and the testing company. You need to ask! They need to tell you!

The Walkers

These courts and judges are a joke. The Walker’s know how to manipulate the court system and they are getting away with it.

Job well done

Kudos to the caravan of search and rescue trucks, boats, four-wheelers, shower trucks etc. from central Florida, Seminole County that were passing through. They had been in Louisiana since Laura hit and were headed home. I know how appreciative Louisiana people were to see them because I remember how appreciative Mississippi was to see help after Katrina.

Best in Washington

It is true that Gene Taylor was/is a Democrat, and I am a stanch conservative. I believe Gene Taylor to be an example of what was best in Washington. A good and decent man who voted his convictions and represented our state well. Since I don’t know him personally, I can only guess that he would be glad to be free of that den of vipers.

I remember

To “Bad Memory,” I remember Gene Taylor. I remember being able to get ahold of him for help or to discuss concerns. I remember him responding and helping. I remember seeing him in public and him stopping to shake your hand and carry on a conversation. I remember him doing what was right for this state and country no matter what his party believed. The one you voted in to replace him fooled you into thinking he would work for you, but seems to have lost his memory of those promises.

Accountable

Thank you to the Sun Herald and their reporter Anita Lee for keeping the public informed on the Walker case. The Walkers’ blatant disregard for the law is evident, and they need held accountable
