Shrimp purchase
What a wonderful and prudent idea and subsequent action by the USDA to purchase $30million worth of our shrimp. The shrimpers need the financial assistance, and the citizens will certainly enjoy this delicacy.
Maskless Saturday
Saturday afternoon, on Main Street in the Bay, there was a road block set up at the intersection of the first and second blocks. Absolutely no one was wearing a mask, including the police. What would have been wrong with them reminding the public that masks were required in retail shops as they were checking for seat belts? It was the Second Saturday art walk and a lot of people were out shopping.
Freedoms
To “Simple Statement,” your attitude sucks. It’s not up to you to decide what is mandatory and what isn’t. This country is based on freedoms, and freedom from oppression is one of them. I don’t need “proper documentation” to not wear a mask. I have a medical condition that’s none of your business, nor is it anyone else’s business, and I’m not carrying anything to prove that fact.
Census count
Residents are counted in the federal Census, regardless of their immigration status, because public officials need to know how best to allocate resources: food, water, air; schools and hospitals; roads and bridges.
No health, no wealth
There is a picture of Dr Dobbs where he has such a look on his face of sadness. He can see the enemy and knows it is hard to defeat, but he will keep telling us how to do it. The question can we follow and stick to it, and the powers that be understand no health = no wealth?
Magical
About two days ago, I witnessed the largest swarm of dragonflies I have ever seen. The location was a quarter mile from the beach in Waveland. I have been wondering what happened to dragonflies, as they have been pretty scarce for a many years. In my opinion they are magical creatures.
