No masks

I dined in a restaurant in D’Iberville yesterday and no employee was wearing a mask. When I questioned my waiter, she said they were not required to wear them. Who enforces this regulation?

Bad choice?

It is really sad Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College removed the name of Jefferson Davis from our Harrison County campus. When is this nonsense going to stop?

Comparing disasters

This is a reply to “new disaster.” I don’t know where you were during Camille, but Camille will always be seared in my memory, just the same as Katrina. Of course COVID-19 and the worst of hurricanes are apples and oranges in the disaster category. Several months into COVID-19 my house is still standing, never went without power and I have access to food, water, etc. Wear a mask and socially distance.

A quiz

Four question quiz. Who is most likely to defend the U.S. Constitution? Who is least likely to take the life of the unborn? Who is not offended by the word God? Who is more likely to use the rule of law to protect the life and property of any hard-working American? If you answered a Conservative to all four, you get an A. If President Donald Trump was your answer, give yourself that same A.

Admit the truth

It is sometimes difficult to admit the truth. Just as Iraq didn’t have weapons of mass destruction, Mexico is not paying for a fence. Hydroxychloroquine does not cure COVID and masks actually do prevent spread of disease. There have been nearly 19,000 fact checked misleading, or outright lies from our leader in the past 3 years. Yes, it is difficult to admit. What happened to our conservative party?

Please stop

The first few months of the year we were in a drought situation. Some people started to pray for rain. You can stop now.

Study history

The mayors of Seattle and Portland need to study their history. In 1962, President Kennedy brought in the National Guard to enroll James Meredith at Ole Miss. I can assure the officials at Ole Miss and the mayor of Oxford did not welcome them with open arms. Nevertheless the they came and the citizens of Mississippi had to accept it whether we wanted them or not.

No convention

Trump doesn’t need a convention since he’s hawking the same line of drivel — build a wall; bring back jobs and get the country out of the mess he put us in.
