Working hard

Someone said “teachers not in the classroom shouldn’t get paid.” Really? That already happens. During the school year, teachers bring home their work to finish. They grade papers, create assignments and call homes to talk to parents. This amounts to working double shifts each week, unpaid. The teachers I know have been working online with several of their students and their parents while they were not in class. They are still working.

Better communication

The Jackson County School District needs to find a way to inform parents of its safety plans for the upcoming school year. All of us do not have the ability to go online for school information.

Loaded question

Why is the media asking President Trump, in advance of the election, if he will commit to accepting the results? They hate him so much, and regardless of his answer they’ll make a negative story out of it. This question should have been posed by the media to Al Gore, Hillary, the Left, anti-Trumpers or Stacy Abrams for Georgia governor. We could go on and on.

Prepare now

It’s easy to see that Trump will deny the results of the 2020 election if he should lose. Why not prepare now to have the results substantiated at the time so there is no avenue for him to contest the results and delay the new president taking office? This election is too important to have any question about Russian interference or a “hoax” result questioned.

Please pray

This is a response to “do for yourself.” As a nurse who works with COVID-19 patients, I assure you there are not enough protection equipment and shortages continue. Why do you continue to bury your head in the sand and deny what is evident? I pray that you and your family are not denied hospital care, because there is no one to sacrifice their life for you.

Serious matter

I did not see any social distancing this weekend in downtown Bay St. Louis. How are these people allowed to get away with this? What part of the COVID-19 virus do they not understand? If it reaches someone in their family and they need a ventilator, or set up in the hospital hallway, then they might just understand how serious the virus is.

One question

Where are all the hummingbirds?

Unconstitutional act

The reason there is no national mask wearing mandate is because it would be considered unconstitutional. This is the same reason there is no punishment for violating local mandates.
