Numbers surging

Why are we hosting Scrapin’ the Coast if COVID-19 numbers are surging? Not smart, Biloxi.

United and respectful

I am a 60+ white, Christian woman. I was born, raised and still reside in South MS. It is past time to take down our divisive state flag and replace it with another. The new flag should be all inclusive and should not include other meanings that stir up controversy, such as In God we Trust. Our legislators need to stop pushing their ideals on the whole state. We need to be united and respectful to all MS citizens.

No end

As fortune one hundred companies base their locations on what a state’s flag may or may not symbolize, I hope everyone understands what the deranged leftists will push for next. Say goodbye to the American stars and stripes. The movement is coming. Even Mount Rushmore is vulnerable.

Non-controversial

Enough flag controversy. Replace the flag already. Make it a solid color, maybe green, and have a Magnolia flower in the center for Magnolia state. Nothing controversial at all.

Mask success

Other countries have required citizens wear masks in public with success. Our numbers are increasing in Mississippi, yet our governor still won’t issue rules to require masks. I understand our state and local leaders are afraid of the wrath of Trump and his followers, but they should do the right thing now and prove to citizens they value science and common sense over popularity.

One percent?

Wow. Can’t wait each morning to see the latest COVID body count. Not since the Vietnam War have we had such ravenous press coverage. Let’s keep the fear hype going for a disease that impacts less than 1% of the population.

How bad?

As our states virus numbers continue to rise, I have to ask what will it take for government to step up? Over the past couple of weeks, when in public, the only masks I see are on myself and my spouse. This is crazy! At least a couple of the casinos have moved to require masks. All businesses should consider this before it is too late. How bad does it have to get?
