Sound Off for June 15, 2020

Trying times

A child that is not embraced by his village will burn that village down, just to feel its warmth. We must come together as a nation, as one, for the children, because they are the future.

The left

Anyone ever noticed how much suffering, violence, and fear mongering the left is willing to spread and support to win an election? Anyone ever remember someone on the left with a positive idea or attitude? Only time they seem happy is when things are bad or they win an election.

Coming together

Nothing in communities will change unless churches get involved. We have predominantly white churches and black churches, but I don’t see any of them coming together in unity. I think all pastors in their prospective counties should have a meeting and work to bring the people together.

Enforcement needed

Today I traveled on two one-way streets in Bay St. Louis. On both streets I was met with traffic going the wrong way. Where are the police?

Words matter

Trump is always walking back what he says, or in some way trying to clarify the meaning. He just has a hard time with words and surely the president can find help in someone at the White House. Maybe he does need the help of a smart woman.

Fallen game

We’re still guessing what to do about this virus pandemic, and the MLB owners and players instead are squabbling over money and the number of games to be played. This is just another sign of the great depths that Major League Baseball has fallen.
