Supply

Why can gas station convenience stores, and overpriced infomercials get hand sanitizer and masks for sale but Walmart can’t? Walmart can’t even get sanitizer for its doors and restrooms. What’s up?

Unemployment

Benefits come from unemployment insurance that is paid by employers. I am a business owner and I have been paying this insurance since I opened. My employees now receive these benefits.

Keep casinos closed

I’ve lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast long enough to remember that we were doing just fine before the state legislature railroaded dockside gambling in 1991. Voters hands were tied. No to reopening casinos any time soon during this still-to-be-solved COVID-19. I can think of no less sanitary place. Reopening will cause more problems than it solves.

Horrible

I am furious! The casinos should not be opening! The governor is nuts! There is no amount of money that is going to make this any better if the casino workers get exposed to the virus. I guess money is more important than people? Especially when the casino workers don’t make a lot of money in the first place.

Nonsensical

My wife, my neighbors, and I pile in my car and drive 30 minutes to the casino in Biloxi. After sitting cheek-to-cheek for 30 minutes in the car, we are told to now sit 6 feet apart?

Lights

Gulfport, please do something about the lights at Creosote Road, Middle Dr., and Martin Luther King at U.S. 49! They stop traffic when there are no cars!

Enough

I am sick and tired of hearing about the coronavirus, its all you hear from every news station, every hour of the day. This virus will be around forever, even if we get a vaccine, there are no guarantees. Wake up people, our economy has been wrecked and unemployment is through the roof. Use common sense and go about your life!

State vs. state

I noticed today that Wisconsin has virtually the same number of corona cases as Mississippi but has twice the population. Either they are doing a better job of quarantining or we are doing worse.
