Earned it
Unemployment benefits are paid by you and your fellow citizens through a number of means, including the collection of federal and state taxes, as well as the levying of union dues and other professional fees. The exact source of funding depends on the kind of unemployment insurance benefits you are receiving. The government is not giving you anything you did not earn.
Party doesn’t matter
To the writer that asked “Are the Republican protesters so ignorant that they don’t know they are protesting against Republican mayors?” Not everyone follows blindly along strict political lines. They were protesting the loss of their freedom no matter what political party in in power.
Political Pause
Growing sentiment along party lines needs to stop, this virus doesn’t care who you voted for. We all have one enemy and together we can beat it. Attacking your local mayor helps no one.
Peace
I love staying home and going out to shop every 2 weeks to a month and do not mind the masks. I have always gotten tired of going out, especially to pharmacies, and coming home with colds and flu. My hat is off to our teachers because our kids always seem to be carrying germs. After this pandemic is over, I plan to continue my peaceful life.
All politicians
“Same side?” thinks that Republicans protest Republican politicians’ orders because they don’t know that they’re Republicans. Actually, Republicans protest if they don’t like what politicians are doing, regardless of political party. Apparently, Democrats think that they should only protest Republican leaders, even if they don’t like what Democrat leaders are doing.
Gym vs. casino
The person who suggested that a “sweaty, heavy breathing gym” may be more harmful than a “huge airy casino” is delusional. Smell your clothes when you get home after spending time at most casinos. The smoke that penetrates your clothes also enters your lungs. Employees at these casinos deserve a better work environment.
