Sound Off for April 27, 2020
Wear it anyway
To the writer “Sure of it” who doesn’t see the need to wear a mask at the grocery because they live alone with pets and quarantined for 5 weeks and claim they have no germs to spread, all it takes is one trip to a grocery store without a mask to get infected. Remember you don’t have to feel sick at all to carry the germ and infect someone else.
Assisted living
COVID-19 has exposed the dangers of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Obviously state governments have let the care of our seniors become dangerous. Time to correct this!
Wartime
I read the article “Auto workers step up to make medical gear”. Why wasn’t this done in the beginning?
They need an award
Please give all the folks protesting against being asked to stay home a vacation on a cruise ship.
Foodies
There’s no reason whatsoever for restaurants with outdoor seating to remain closed, social distancing with every other table is the solution. Employees need to work. Beaches are packed. Food!
Wear helmets
Driving down U.S. 90 in Biloxi, got behind a three-wheel rental cart. Not my first time seeing these. Had a grown man and two small kids squeezed into it, all with no helmets. Highway 90 is a very unsafe place to be driving these.
Vultures
Lawsuits will be the next epidemic to strike as American plaintiff lawyers tool up to make money off the misery. Commercials urging family members of virus victims to contact their law firms have already begun. Companies and workers who have operated in good faith trying to heal Americans will be the next victims.
Simple math
“Drama” asked, “Why is it the national and state coronavirus total is added to every day?” The key word here is “total.”
Shame on you
Shame on all the robocallers and solicitors who are exploiting this worldwide crisis and try increasingly to sell their unwanted goods and services. I would never buy anything from you. It’s not only annoying, it’s immoral.
