Celebrating?

The article about the little black girl being given a black doll with a noose around its neck is disturbing. If, in fact, the doll had beads around its neck, and not a noose, holding the doll up by the beads, as in the photo, would appear that the doll was being hanged. Let go of the beads and it’s merely a black doll celebrating Mardi Gras.

Folk art

Has anyone considered that the doll handled out at the BSL parade is a traditional primitive folk art flour sack doll that simply had Mardi Gras beads around its neck and was meant to be a highly valued throw?

It is not too early to prepare to vote in the 2020 election. Misinformation is going strong. Do not believe what you are reading from any source. Research those talking points for yourself. Do not fall for the false fear mongering.

Slow going

Does anyone know why the CSX trains have been going so slow and every on stopping so often?

No tax credits

Kudos to Lt. Hosemann for freezing tax credits for businesses. A budget should be based on revenue, money collected, not cutting programs for tax payers. I hope all the other legislators support this.

VA option

Why do military retirees go to Department of Defense facilities for healthcare when they have the VA? DoD on-base facilities should be for active-duty personnel and VA for all retirees.

Carnival court

Old men and very young girls. I love Mardi Gras, but these courts are stuck in a bygone era.

Old footage

Obama has not said he is supporting anyone at this point. What you are seeing is old video and audio footage of Obama and Bloomberg together. Lets not be so quick to assume anything by what you are seeing. We all know what happens when we assume.

Fake healthcare

I keep getting emails advertising Trumpcare. There is no such insurance. It is called the Affordable Healthcare Act insurance or Obamacare. It’s a scam.
