Sound Off for Feb. 18, 2020
Name calling
Name calling always tells me two things: the educational level and lack of moral decency of the person doing it. You can agree or disagree with me, but when you have to resort to name calling you have lost the argument.
Rouge flight attendants
American Airlines seems to contradict themselves in the handling of passengers that recline their seats. A recent viral video shows the American flight attendant rewarding bad behavior when their own conditions states passengers that are “uncooperative or show the potential to be uncooperative on board” will be held accountable. Also, passengers should “behave appropriately and respectfully with other passengers on board,” What about rogue flight attendants?
An undermined democracy
More than 1000 former Department of Justice officials have called for Attorney General Barr to resign. His actions are more of a consigliere than a neutral chief of justice. The Department of Justice is to be impartial and insulated from political influence. Make no mistake: The rule of law and our republic and democracy are being undermined for gain.
A comparison
Mice die in mouse traps because they do not understand why the cheese is free. The same thing happens with socialism.
Why no buzz?
Can anyone tell me why Teddy Bridgewater is not being considered or mentioned as the replacement for Drew Brees?
A cult?
If you look up the definition of a cult. you will see that Trump’s followers fit the description.
A crazy notion
I keep seeing a headline that reads, “What if Trump loses the election but refuses to accept the results and won’t leave the White House?” Maybe you should start an investigation into the legitimacy of this scenario. I wonder where would they get such a crazy notion that election results might not be accepted.
Make the call?
Time is wasting. If the Democrats plan to stop Bernie again, they better call Hillary and Donna Brazile soon.
How things change
Michael Avenatti was found guilty of extortion and faces 40 years. Just a short time ago, he was the media’s darling and was going to run for president. Where’s the support now? Crickets.
