Hospital solution

Why do hospitals go broke? A small hospital pays about $1.4 million a year for what was obviously a part time job (Mr. Cain also ran 15 other companies). Our president makes about 1/3 of that. Have a full-time position filled by someone who has hospital experience, pay them $300,000. Give them a staff of three people to fill other required experiences, pay them $90,000 to $100,000. For less than $600,000 you can have knowledgeable, efficient management. They might even be honest.

Zion FTW

Basketball announcers said that Zion was way out of shape and too heavy. I guess it doesn’t matter when you’re making millions, I’d have a smile on my face too!

Helping hand

Ocean Springs is a special town with special people. As a handicapped older lady who has to use a shopping buggy, the couple ahead of me in the grocery line unloaded my groceries for the cashier to check. They told me they’d be looking for me after they unloaded their groceries and unload mine. Sure enough; they were waiting in the parking lot to unload my groceries into my car saying they just like to help people. A big thank you to this older couple!

Boondoggle

Let’s hear it for Alabama, good, common sense has reigned there. An expensive Amtrak boondoggle cannot be justified by the tourism dollars that a few cities will see.

Entertainment

What the Coast needs is a super nice amusement park or water park. Seems like all the citizens know this, except for the contractors and developers.

Debtors

What a travesty. Debtors of color get debtors prison but white embezzlers get house arrest. Mississippi clings to slavery.

Global warming

Thank goodness our children are more aware of this threat to our planet. After all they inherit our messes.

Actions over words

Trump campaigned on protecting the pre-existing condition coverage in Obamacare, and to protect Social Security and Medicare. He has already tried to repeal the pre-existing coverage provision and is now “open to address entitlements” meaning Social Security and Medicare. If you are on Social Security, Medicare or have a pre-existing condition, before you vote, please research Trump’s actual position on these vital issues.

A dead-end mission

Socialism, as a form of government, should, in fact, be referred to as “the blind leading the blind on a dead-end mission.” However, it appears that that is exactly what those misguided, so-called “leaders “ of the Democrats want as our great country’s form of government when they very well know its a foregone conclusion that such a weird form of government is totally unworkable and has failed repeatedly.
