A suggestion

To the person that asked "what planet am I on" when I suggested a casino-sponsored Christmas display on town green, I am happy to say I am not only from planet Earth but the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast. I am sure the little kids around Christmas time love to drive past an empty ball park or hear about some symphony that happened during the year. I am from Biloxi and love my city, but Jones Park was a beautiful winter wonderland. It was just a suggestion that Biloxi should step up its Christmas light display and the Biloxi casinos, especially the ones across the street, would be a great one to help since they would benefit the most.

Better patrols

We can’t leave out Long Beach either when it comes to the very inconsiderate neighbors who shoot fireworks in the late night hours. And why aren’t the local police patrolling at night during these holidays and put a stop to it, especially since fireworks are banned within city limits?

Know better?

Evan Todd, a man who survived the 1999 Columbine High School massacre in Colorado, said he wished there had been a legal gun owner on the scene who could have stopped the attack like the Texas church shooting. He was the first student to be wounded at Columbine and the last person to speak to the assailants before they committed suicide. His experience has led him to believe school security is crucial to protecting teachers and students. Of course, Joe Biden, Beto O’Rourke and others in this country think they know better what should be done. They’ve never been in that situation.

New law?

To all who think passing more gun laws will prevent violence, I would ask why stop there. We need laws that require everyone to be nice to each other. No killing, hitting or biting. There, problem solved. Now everyone will live in peace and harmony. Gee, I wish we had passed that law a long time ago. Of course, that is ignoring that evil doesn’t have a preferred weapon. Could be shotgun, handgun, semi-automatic rifle, knife, machete, car, IED, brick, whatever. It’s the person, not the mechanism.

Got the message

The deep hatred the liberal press conveys toward our president is alive and well. An opportunity arises to take out a known terrorist plotting illicit actions toward our country and the press cries foul. If Trump cured cancer he would not be heralded. The previous administration threw money at terrorist states. This one hurls bombs. I think our enemies got the message.

God help us

Trump has made an art of deflecting attention away from his legal troubles. Now to distract the public from his impeachment trial, he has created a crisis in the Middle East that will have impacts on a global scale. God help us.
