Go to church

Think about it. You run around getting Christmas presents, decorating, having parties and making a big fuss. Do you know what the day is for? Do you ever think about going to church to worship the Lord? Christmas is a shortened form of “Christ’s Mass” You are always welcome to come to mass at any Catholic Church. They are open for worship and especially on the Lord’s birthday.

Criminal act?

Whoever shot the dog committed larceny and should be prosecuted. Since the dog was clearly identified by a collar and tag, that person deprived the owner of property without the process of law. He took the law into his own hands instead of calling the authorities. Of course this person will never come forward and admit to the crime.

Please explain

Incoming Lt. Gov. Delbert Hoseman needs to explain why he opposes Medicaid expand. Or at the least poll his constituents. Elected officials should support what’s best for Mississippians, not lobbyists or businessmen.

What happened?

The congressional impeachment flopped, being the sham it is. Now every registered Republican in Washington, D.C., is subject to Adam Schiff's death march. How did America arrive here? Anyone?

The real problem

If Obama spent all his time tweeting, golfing, watching the news and doing 85 rallies, you would have had a problem. And that my friend is the real problem.

Lacking facts

None of the political Sound Offs, either for or against Trump or the Democrats, give any facts, just statements. If the facts or where to find the facts are included, it is not printed. In most of these submissions, the words Trump and Democrat are interchangeable.

There’s a difference

Trump supporters don’t seem to understand what an investigation and trial is. They are done every day and are conducted differently. Nothing was done wrong by Democrats, so educate yourself.

Thinking twice

I, for one, am proud that the Democrats made the politically unpopular move to impeach Trump. He needed a wake-up call that he cannot withhold approved funds and bully another country’s leader. Maybe, just maybe, he will think twice about trying that again.

Misguided actions

The CDC has confirmed that black market THC is the source of most vaping deaths. Uh, yeah. Millions of people utilize vaping materials without problem and it’s an improvement over smoking cigarettes. For many people, it works to beat cigarettes altogether. It wasn’t the use of, but the abuse of, that was the problem. So, the calls to outlaw vaping were premature and misguided.
