Sound Off for Dec. 23, 2019
Sad situation
CNN actually pays airports around the world $6 million a year to force people to watch the network. Yes, its true and the most unwatched fake news pays for play. How sad. This won't be printed.
Bunch of baloney
So the Democrats can hold their investigation in secret but want the Republicans to lay out their plans for a trial. What kind of two faced baloney is that?
Part-time gig?
Thanks to Donald Trump for informing us that the job of president is a part-time gig. I had no idea the president could (and would) spend six hours a day watching TV, average 18 holes of golf every three days and tweet out nonsense and garbage nonstop every single day. I’m retired and have less free time than Trump.
Nothing proven
This is in response to "the consequences" and "broke the law." You both say President Trump broke the law. Tell me just one law he has broken. There has been years of investigations and millions of taxpayer dollars spent and not one crime has been proven. There are a lot of opinions, but opinions don't equal a crime. The only thing Trump is guilty of is getting elected and draining the swamp in Washington.
Not attractive
Nothing says Christmas like thousands of tiny utility marker flags dotting front yards across the entire neighborhood.
Great times
Lagging support for the Boy Scouts of America is very sad for our youth and country. As a child growing up in the 1960s, I joined a local troop at 11 years old and thoroughly enjoyed weekend camping, long summer camps, hiking, life skills and community involvement. I am grateful for the experience.
Bad timing?
TV news reported that it is estimated in 10 years half the American population will be 100 pounds overweight. Then they went to a commercial ... a TV ad for a double cheeseburger.
New show
The Democrat majority got what they wanted: impeachment of the U.S. president. It was done in a most unorthodox way, through the House Intelligence Committee, secret meetings with witnesses and highly-controlled hearings. They don't get to tell the U.S. Senate how to conduct the trial. They had their own circus, now take the indictment to the U.S. Senate and let them do their own show.
Paying enough
Cable companies should give us on-demand programming and drop TiVo. I know I pay enough.
The economy
Our economic boom is due to money that had been tied up in Jackson since Katrina and the BP oil spill. This was before Trump was a gleam in your eyes.
