Sound Off for Dec. 22, 2019
Be careful
Be careful of trying to joke or be humorous these days. Someone will always be offended at something no matter how innocent. Even comedians have problems trying to be humorous without offending. People these days sure are sensitive about everything. Lighten up and enjoy life. Not everyone is out to harm you.
Details needed
Just what law has Trump broken? I’d love to know so I won’t be falsely accused of the same thing. Funny, no one can actually quote the law he is accused of breaking.
So grateful
Trump is not destroying this country. He is putting people back to work, growing the middle class and making trade deals that are fair for the American worker. He has also restored optimism that we are moving in the right direction. I’m so grateful he is our president.
Not acceptable
Impeachment over hearsay by partisan Democrats is clearly ridiculous, but to impeach the president out of pure hatred is unacceptable. Three years of hate equals four more years of a great economy.
Not nice
Being mean and unlikable are not impeachable offenses. I bet if you got to know all of Congress you would find most aren't very likable and are not nice people. And even the Democratic party has given up on saying he actually committed a crime.
Giving credit
I will not thank President Trump for economic growth until he gives credit to Obama for bringing us out of the recession he inherited. In fact, the Commerce Department measured our economic growth in 2018 at 2.9, the same peak achieved under Obama in 2015. Please do your research on economic growth.
Cowardly way?
Looks like the Republicans are going to take the cowardly way out on the impeachment trial. Guess they don’t want the truth to come out.
Quid pro quo
On Thursday Nancy Pelosi said she will not send the articles of impeachment to the U.S. Senate until she has assurances of a fair trial. Isn't that what the democrats call a "quid pro quo?" You know, like quid pro quo Joe Biden.
Don’t complain
Just heard on TV that although the economy is good and unemployment is at an all-time low, there are a lot of people working two jobs to make ends meet. Let’s not complain about stuff we can’t change. Some people always struggle to make ends meet, in all corners of the world. We have a great economy and the best country in the world, by most measures. Let’s not complain.
A question?
Is there a question by the Democrats to delay submitting bills of impeachment to the U.S. Snate? Maybe their case is falling apart? Hmmm.
