No filter

The internet is a search engine. Many of use it to do research. It has basically replaced libraries. Social media, Facebook and Instagram are opinion sites. Of course it requires some intelligence to filter the information.

No return?

I always leave my shopping cart in the handicap area at the stores. It’s more convenient for a disabled person to get out of the car and have a cart readily available. And the cart corral is quite a distance away, so I just leave it near the handicapped area.

Let it go

Here is a quote from a not-so-famous musical artist that has tremendous application in today’s political world. “You can’t offer just anger, it will just eat you up from the inside. You’ve got to have a sense of humor.” Whether you are a liberal or a conservative, feel free to apply this logic and make a true change in your life.

Who decides?

A Sound Off writer said that fact-check sites are biased to the left. Don’t be ridiculous! Fact- check sites are funded by advertising. Just like any business, if they don’t tell the truth they will lose advertisers as well as people using their site. Would you stick with a company that wasn’t reliable? Republicans have to say these sites aren’t reliable because so many favor liberal policies. These people just can’t handle the truth, so they decide the truth isn’t the truth.

Stipulation

Kudos to Bernie Marcus, co-founder of Home Depot! It was stated that he fully funded the building of the Georgia Aquarium with the stipulation that the city stay out of the design, construction and operations of the aquarium. Smart man! He knows that most city politicians generally obstruct, destruct, or have their hands out for any building project in their domain.

It happens

Yes, people with good morals do commit crimes! Those pedestals can tip over. Read your history.

If there’s no impeachment, maybe we can put the Dixie Mafia in charge and strong arm Mississippi to No. 1.

No help

As a taxpayer of Harrison County, I have no idea why we need a Board of Supervisors. If you are lucky enough to get on their agenda to speak at a meeting, they turn and start laughing and visiting with each other — yes it happened at a meeting I attended. Then whatever problem you speak about the board does just the opposite of what you ask them to do. They are not here to help us ordinary citizens, just themselves to numerous out-of-town so-called workshops and ribbon cutting ceremonies to make themselves look good. Thanks for no help supervisors!
