Sound Off for Nov. 30, 2019

Keeping promises

We in America have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful that we have a strong president enabling us to still enjoy the God-given freedoms our founders gave us. May it ever be so. We now have the ability to stand up to our enemy’s once again. Rebuilding our military is just one of the many things President Trump has done that he promised in his platform.

The bigger man

If Democrats were smart, they would issue a public apology to the president and the American public, admit they were wrong and prove they are the bigger "man." Then they should get on with actually trying to win in 2020 with a qualified candidate.

Bad service?

I completely understand your confusion and treatment you received at the Biloxi VA Hospital. The patient advocate office is a lacking, along with several other offices at this facility.

Not fair

I am offended by the fact that you have no problem printing Sound Offs that call Republicans uncaring, unfeeling or unhuman machines, but to call the Democrats aliens is just too much for the fragile egos of your readers.

Nothing fishy

This is to the writer of “fishy situation.” I guess you just weren't paying attention when Obama released his birth certificate, which he did. You don't know that no one's college records are available, except to the student that earned them. And his children's birth certificates are not your business, unless you work at the Department of Motor Vehicles when they got their drivers licenses, or to be issued a passport. Trump's taxes are important to Congress, so they are aware of whether or not he is paying them, how much is he paying, and is he taking in money not due to his presidency? What is fishy there?

Fines needed

Coming down Dedeaux Road this morning we were behind a black SUV with its windows up and music blaring. My husband had to pull over to let them go in front. Another car pulled behind them at the red light, which helped with the noise. Needless to say, my man is now a nervous wreck and cannot take this. Something needs to be done to fine those who don't care.

Antenna tips

I have had an antenna for about three years now and they can be challenging. But I live in Gulfport and apparently the reception is different here. I can point the antenna almost any direction and rarely have any problems with WLOX-TV or PBS, but WXXV-TV can be very stubborn sometimes. At times WXXV-TV will not come in unless pointed north and sometimes that is iffy. You might consider a booster. It increased my signal by about 20 percent.
