Severe trim

The company who “trimmed” the trees on Atkinson Road in Biloxi should never be allowed to work in the city again. It looks more like tornadoes went down Atkinson Road. That “company” would be better suited to be in the demolition business.

Painful experience

My driver’s license expires next week. I’m hearing it takes 3 to 5 hours to renew, and since I get paid hourly, when I’m not working, I don’t get paid. This will definitely hurt. One person told me he’d rather get a hemorrhoid operation than go through it again.

Paper rolls

Is there an organization (maybe a scout troop, senior center, etc.)that can use the inner rolls of paper towels and toilet tissue? I understand the rolls are used to make napkin rings and other craft items. I have many bags of these rolls to give to anyone.

Happy taxes

If you are giving to your church just to claim a deduction, just keep your money. The Lord loves a cheerful giver.

Bipartisan data

“Good” science does not serve a political cause.

One purpose

The purpose of a license plate is for identification, not decoration. The novelty/vanity plate craze has gotten out of hand. Someone driving through the state may witness something and not be able to properly ID the plate. Also, the brackets that obscure the state and expiration date need to be outlawed. The Legislature needs to have the courage and integrity to do the right thing.

Tables turned

If men were the ones who got pregnant, abortions would be available at walk-in clinics, and birth control pills would be sold in convenience stores.

Learned behavior

I have lived across the street from an elementary school for 20 years and from what I have seen and heard you will never be able to pay teachers enough for what they have to deal with! Parents act horrendously in the parking lot so I can only imagine how bad their kids are. They leave the stereo blasting while in the school. They yell, scream, cuss and all types of bad behavior and when they leave at least 50 percent make an illegal U-turn.

Abortion risk

That fetal heartbeat law is going to kill a lot of young girls, who will turn to back alley abortionists.

Not all believe

“In God We Trust” forced on the general population is symptomatic of a much larger problem that grants organized religions tax-free property at the expense of those who do not believe in a God. Proprietors of all such temples of belief should pay the same taxes as secular businesses. Education could certainly use the extra funds.
