A different line

On line dating is really not new. I met my wife at the clothesline when home on leave. That was over 65 years ago and we have been hanging out together every since then.

Makes sense

Why not vote for a Democrat for the next senatorial seat. Doesn’t it make sense to have one senator from each party so that whichever party has a majority in the Senate there will be input from Mississippi?

Face time

I want to take the time to say “Thank you” to Paul Tisdale and other city officials for gathering at Donal Snyder Rec Center for an informative Ward Five meeting. Really appreciated them allowing us to ask so many questions. Really, really wish our U.S. Congressman Palazzo would do the same. Miss the days when Gene Taylor was willing to meet with his salary payers and took all questions good or bad.

More taxes?

I see our legislature is wanting to raise gas taxes. I guess the Delta has some more dirt roads to four-lane. Highway 57 won’t get any money.

Home needed

We need a home built in the Gulfport and Biloxi area to house the homeless population. All the casinos and churches in our area should support such a project. Nashville has such a home: during the day they are assigned jobs and they are paid for the work they do. They could pick up trash along the roads and never run out of work. They should have rules to follow while living at the home. If they don’t follow the rules they should be made to leave our area. Why can’t people see these people need help. Where are all the preachers that could help?

Want a cut

If any other part of Mississippi had a disaster and received a settlement I would not feel they owe us anything. So, from now on we should fight to claim any money settlements any other part of the state may get in the future.

Forgetful

This is for forgetful and, Mr. Barbour, a gun is not a toy. It is a weapon and should be treated with respect. When your grandchild finds your gun are you going to say, “Oh I forgot?”

Rooster crow

Someone asked about roosters in Ocean Springs. Come to Gulf Park Estates. We live at least a block away from this critter, but at 4 o’clock in the morning this thing starts bellowing and goes on and on and on.

One more

Randy Moss being selected to enter the Hall of Fame speaks volumes about the league. One more reason not to watch the NFL.
