Rotten deal

I wouldn’t mind spending more for produce if it wasn’t frozen in some warehouse for a year and thawed at the supermarket. Stuff looks OK on the shelf but rots before I get it home. And I can’t afford $10 for an apple at those specialty stores. End foreign farm subsidies and farm regulation. Let our farmers get back to growing true free market commodities here in the United States.

Not a fan

I used to go to movies — until they became all about violence, sex and bad words. Now all I want to do is watch reruns of wholesome good shows like “The Andy Griffith Show.” We need to get back to core values and good morals. Most of the movies they make today have no storyline or moral of the story.

A shame

One problem we have in health care is the health services for devices that we have at home. I called one such team to work on a stair lift for a friend who is handicapped and can’t walk the stairs by herself. The earliest time this team could get us was a week out, which meant she could not leave the house in that time. When the day arrived, they called to move the time and then called to cancel wanting to push the appointment out another week. Not only is this unacceptable but they were going to charge over $100 an hour, with a minimum of one hour. It’s a shame they can treat our older generation that way.

End in sight?

High-tech CEOs talk like they’re going to wipe human labor off the face of the Earth at a rapid rate.

Look out!

It looks like the “smoking gun” in the Russian election investigation, that the Democrats clamored for, may be coming from senior FBI agents, who were Clinton operatives. I said over a year ago that the Democrats should be careful what they wish for because it may boomerang on them. Better look out, Hillary!

Name change next?

Memorial Hospital at Gulfport makes big move to Jackson County. Time for a name change?

Winning!

Our nation was born in rebellion against an inherited wealth British aristocracy. The South, especially Mississippi, still lives in a constant state of resentment and grievance against government. How could it be so easily deceived into voting for a president and Congress who are about to pass a tax plan that will solidify the hold of wealthy individuals and multinational corporations over our government. In other words, the rebels are wholeheartedly rooting for a new inherited wealth American-style aristocracy to rule over them. And they believe they won the war this time. Sad!!!
