He can’t win
President Trump was invited by Governor Bryant to attend the opening of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum. I can only imagine the uproar by the NAACP and other democrats if the president had turned down this invitation.
This past week I was at Memorial Hospital with my special needs sister. She was dying. As I sat holding her hand for her final breath, my phone rang. The call was someone asking for money. Surely something can be done to end these calls.
Thanks again to Team Waste. They put the lid down on the recycle cart so it wouldn’t get rain water inside after pickup during bad weather Thursday. Much appreciated.
The Saints could have won against Atlanta but the officials kept a boot on their neck. Apparently they never saw the Falcons make any infractions. Yet they rained yellow flags on New Orleans all night. Boo, birds and boo, zebras.
Y’all are funny
I know it’s serious business down here, but after growing up in northern Michigan, every year I still get a chuckle down here when the temperature dips a bit. Schools close, people hide in their homes, media is full of news on how to survive the wrath of winter, and people pray for the quick return of global warming. Sometimes I tell people of walking to school a couple miles a day in 20 below zero wind chills, and after spending the wee hours of the morning shoveling 3 or 4 foot snow drifts and packed snow from the plow so my folks could get to work. People here laugh and think I’m just another old man with crazy stories as no one could survive such conditions. Then I smile, because I know there are lots of people like me down here quietly thinking the same thing. Bundle up folks.
What a disgrace
After reading who will not attend the opening of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, I surely will attend. As a proud Mississippian, I will attend to see my president, and all Mississippians should also do the same thing. It is a disgrace that elected officials refused to go because of our president. I am also sure that the liberal editor of the Sun Herald will never print this.
