Not attractive

Why is there a growing junk yard with broken down cars allowed on Holiday Avenue — a residential street in Pass Christian? Mayor needs to do something about that. It’s a hazard and an eyesore on a road that is high traffic to the Pass Christian Walmart.

Great job, y’all

Congratulations to the West Harrison High School band for their excellent performance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Missing something?

On Saturday, Nov. 18, two nice gentlemen bought a gate at our yard sale in Long Beach. They left a piece of it. We have it and they can get it.

Lonely holidays

Prayers of comfort and strength for all of us facing the first of many holidays without our loved ones who have passed on.

Quality hoses?

Why can’t service stations provide quality air hoses?

Don’t wander

Most all people are either right-handed or left-handed. Without a compass, guidelines, or a clear objective in view, people will simply end up unknowingly walking in circles, never making progress.

Where are tickets?

Has anyone ever heard of a person getting a parking ticket in any of the cities on the Coast? All forms of illegal parking are rampant everywhere you look.

It’s all relative

Wages are low in Mississippi, but so is the cost of living. Example: Go to some states with higher wages and you find that a house that would cost $75,000 here will cost $500,000 there. There are plenty of good-paying jobs here. If you don’t like your pay, change jobs or move to where you can make more. The great thing about living in the U.S. is that the sky is the limit to what you can earn. But you will have to work for it.

Not original

No. 14 of Ole Miss, D.K. Metcalf, could not even come up with an original classless act during the Egg Bowl. He had to copy Odell Beckham’s, of the NFL, classless act that cost him a $12,500 fine.

Dastardly deed

It does not take courage of one’s convictions to perform a dastardly act. Kneeling before the colors, while the national anthem is being played, is a dastardly act.
